I watched it happen today. During my coaching sessions, I witnessed several of my clients ‘get stuck’ with what they thought was a great idea, a great way to communicate their offer, or a great name for their product. And, when I heard their suggestions, it just fell flat. I thought, “With the language you are using, no one will buy or invest with you.” Why? Simply, because it did not speak the language of THEIR customer(s). It only spoke what they thought was a great idea. But, the only way we know this is to get the consensus and input from our ideal clients. And, I mean ideal clients. Everyone has an opinion, but the ones that matter most is what are your clients saying they need most.
As we role-played, I listened for what was great and what was missing during their enrollment conversations. From there we tweaked and repositioned certain words and language points so they would land more powerfully and create the exact result they were seeking: more clients signing up.
From my perspective of their ideal client, there was no desire to buy, and spend money with them. Thank goodness, this was a coaching session and not an actual ‘enrollment conversation’ we were able to course-correct right away.
Here’s
one quick tip many entrepreneurs who seek to enroll clients into their high end programs or fill their groups don’t do and what you can do differently right away.
The offer does not speak the 'specific' language of their customer
Ladies (and gentlemen), you gotta stop working so hard thinking you know what your clients want, and instead just ask them, so you are certain! It’s flattering to ask a client their thoughts on a product name, program offer and what they would like to see included in it. And, by no means does it diminish you as the expert. Instead it creates partnership. In fact, it’s one of my top proven strategies for filling high end programs, masterminds and groups.
You can use this same strategy multiple ways when you need to decide on a program or product title too! Then, turn around and offer it to them. Now this is sweet success where everyone wins.
What will you do differently in as a result of this tip? Hit reply and let me know. I’m excited for the results I know will happen in your business.
